Brand philosophy
RIJD Interior is a couture furniture brand founded in Sweden by Susanne Lundberg (founder of furniture brand Ruth & Joanna) and Caroline Roth (founder of interior decorations firm Indochine Deco). The founders brandnames make out the letters RIJD which is pronounced ‘ride’. RIJD Interior launched mid September of 2023 after a long and extensive furniture design process that started almost a year prior. The design duo has put immense effort into all the details of the ‘perfect piece’ and have worked with the seamstresses and the production factory to make every detail just right. Nothing is left unscrutinized – like any couture piece should be. With the combined skills of Caroline and Susanne, RIJD has its natural DNA in both the world of fashion as well as from the knowledge of making quality furniture.
Places, surroundings and even nature of each selected destination for design inspiration is carefully narrated to create a cohesive look seasonal presentation. This also allows the brand to explore many ways of expressing itself going from bold and decadent to tailored and fresh looks. The common denominator is always the couture aspect of each item RIJD presents to the market.
Every piece is made on demand therefore the duo can also present very personal items to people that have special requests. RIJD applies a lot of fashion strategy into it’s processes and thus create SS and FW drops in lookbooks.

The products
We are firm believers in statement pieces. We also believe in the best quality of both craftsmanship and fabrics. This combination of commitment gives us a strong foundation of design and end-result – both which we take great pride in. Nothing is left to chance in the design process nor in the assembly. Our products are an extension of our taste and what we consider to be lacking in the marketplace. We always try to give each piece of furniture the best possible combination of style, quality and comfort.
There’s a fine line between what one would describe as ’product’ and - given the craft that goes in to them - an art piece.
We source materials, fabrics and trims all around the world to make sure each piece is one-of-a-kind. As designers we have often found ourselves in situations where we could find a ’base’ piece of furniture that we had to ’dress up’ in order to fit the bill. Along with that insight, came the idea of offering these products to the market all done up just the way we like it. RIJD was born.
The collections TIONS
Destinations set the scene. We have the great experience of traveling the world and seeing amazing places, hotels, restaurants and museums. We start each collection by allowing our minds travel to these destinations while starting our design and moodboarding process. We think about how to use the furniture, how to style it, and why we think a specific piece is a must-have in a person’s home. A synonymous thought is the way a fashion designer is creating first the pants and the blazer but also need to accommodate the need for the accessories that makes the outfit pop. Assortment planning is key for us; allowing for both key pieces and the occasional accent furniture item that will create the perfectly ’styled’ look.
We have named all of our furniture by boys/men/mentors and the occasional douche-bag, thus some of their personality is inherited in our looks.

We will not tell you much more but there’s a reason for why Maxim came out like a tiger and why Julian looks like an executive piece of furniture but has the ability to add a playful fringe.

Your questions, our answers
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship all over the world.
Can I choose any fabric for upholstery?
Yes, we work with all major fabric suppliers. Just make sure that the martindale is over 30 000 so its suitable for upholstery.
What is the lead time from order to receipt?
We calculate 6-8 weeks to finish the production, the transport time depends where you want it shipped to.
If I am not satisfied with the product, can I return it?
We offer a 2 year warranty on all our products regarding manufacturing errors. However, since we produce on demand and oftentimes bespoke items, no returns or exchanges are accepted.
Where and how do you produce your furniture?
We produce on demand so we only use materials that will come to use, thus our production process is very sustainable. We don't keep stock and we never order more than needed for our orders. All of our upholstered products are proudly manufactured by hand in our European atelier.
Do you do discounts?
No, we rarely offer discounts as we don't need to clear stock. Soemtimes we do sample sales, if you want to get notified when these take place, please sign up for our newsletter (länk).

Can I cancel an order that is in production?
No, once we have started the production, it cannot be cancelled.
